I created this workbook as in my coaching practice I kept hearing the same question over and over again from people in their 40s and 50s worried about their career: “What do I do now?”

It came from brilliant, capable people who had followed the rules, built the career, provided for their families and somewhere along the way, they had lost the spark in their career that once fueled them. 

People who had given decades to their careers, only to realize the ladder that they were climbing had been leaning against the wrong wall. 

Many were still working, but felt quietly disconnected, like a stranger in their own life, going through the motions day after day and wondering when they stopped feeling alive in their work.

Others had already been laid off, restructured out, or replaced by technology. These people  were too young to retire but were being overlooked by new employers for being too senior, too specialized or too expensive. Many had thought that they would have a career for life, but now realized that their career path was ending and they were suddenly facing the terrifying question: "What do I do next?"

And here’s the dilemma: answering that question takes longer than a single coaching session.
